State Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Peru) continued her community activism by moving her office to the Plano Community Library for a day.

"Attention Plano friends," she said in a recent Facebook post. "The office of State Sen. Sue Rezin will be at the Plano Community Library from 11 to 2 tomorrow, Tuesday, August 16. Make sure to stop by and visit!"

Rezin has been involved in her community this summer. She spoke at and promoted the 19th annual Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run in June, according to Grundy Reporter. The event honored soldiers who have lost their lives in conflicts in the Middle East.

"It was an honor to speak at the 19th annual Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run ceremony for the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial in Marseilles," Rezin said in a Facebook post in late June. "This is a special ceremony to recognize the Gold Star families and their loved ones that lost their life [sic] defending our country."

She made another Facebook post in late July calling for undergraduate students to apply for an internship with her offices.

"State Sen. Sue Rezin is seeking motivated and hard-working undergraduate students for her district offices in Morris and Peru, Illinois," the advertisement said. "This internship will provide hands-on experience to undergraduate students interested in careers in government, public affairs, and related fields."

Rezin also posted on Facebook on Wednesday to advertise a mobile DMV unit she will host on Aug. 30.

"Friends in the Sheridan area, state Sen. Sue Rezin will be hosting a mobile DMV unit on Tuesday, Aug 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.," the post said.

The DMV unit will be established at the Robert Rowe Public Library, Illinois Valley Times reported. It will provide driver's licenses, state ID cards, motor vehicle registrations, license plate renewal stickers, and organ and tissue donor registrations. The unit will not provide Real IDs; seniors aged 75 and older must renew their driver's licenses at an SOS driver's services facility.
