3. Request to Backfill Deputy for SRO-Action

A lengthy discussion was held regarding the placement of SRO's in schools. Included was the responsibility of funding of the deputy, potential precedence set by county funding assistance to the schools, the need for part-time or full-time officers and which schools have expressed interest in getting an officer. Further discussion including a funding model will take place at the Finance Committee meeting on Oct. 11th.
