MAINE TOWNSHIP RECOGNIZES NATIONAL SOCIAL WORKERS MONTH | Maine Township

Maine Township is proud to recognize March as National Social Workers Month!

Did you know that according to an Ipsos National Social Work Public Opinion Survey, 81% of Americans who interacted with a social worker say a member of the profession improved their situation or that of a family member?

Social workers provide a valuable and undeniable service to children, families, seniors and vulnerable populations throughout the country. More than 700,000 social workers nationwide entered the profession because they have a strong desire to assist those in need and make our communities, our nation, and our world a better place for all.

The theme of this year’s National Social Workers Month: “Social Work Breaks Barriers” resonates because social workers are on the frontlines helping our nation overcome a myriad of challenges, including economic inequality, reproductive rights, racism, and natural disasters worsened by climate change.

Here in Maine Township, we are extremely grateful in recognizing the work of our social workers in aiding the Township’s residents day in and day out.

Join us in celebrating March as National Social Workers Month!
