Village of Minooka Village Board met March 28.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Ric Offerman, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees present: Gabriela Martinez, Barry Thompson, Dennis Martin, Terry Houchens, Dick Parrish and Robin White. Also present: Dan Duffy-Village Administrator, John Harrington-Village Treasurer, Chris Spesia-Village Attorney, Ryan Anderson-Superintendent of Public Works, Village Attorney-Chris Spesia, Village Engineer- Kevin Danko and Village Clerk-Orsola Evola.

Public Forum

Resident Joe Pershey wanted to advise of his concern for the sign height for the new hotel. He would love to see signs lower in height as he feels the larger they are, the more they distract from the highway. He says it doesn’t look good.

Certified Government Financial Manager Month Proclamation-President Offerman read the proclamation. No one else spoke. Public Forum closed at 6:40 p.m.

As Appropriate- Mr. Duffy mentioned the State of the Village is April 20 and Cleanup Day is April 29 at 10:00 a.m. Trustee Parrish mentioned this was his last meeting in person and wanted to thank everyone for the last 16 years and appreciates the board and staff for everything. He hopes everyone stays in touch.
