XIII. Fuel Usage and Overtime

1. Fuel Usage Report

Per Eric Gibson, fuel usage is at 93% for the fiscal year. He reiterated that this usage reflects all Grundy County departments except for Transit and Sheriff. He noted that a new line was added to reflect reimbursement from the other departments to Highway for their fuel usage. A report showing this can be brought to the next committee meeting.

2. Overtime Report

Per Eric Gibson, overtime is currently at 36% and is set to be steady until the end of the year.

XIV. Highway New Business

A. Village of Gardner Notice of Intent to Silence Train Horns at Main Street from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM - Request for Comment

The committee voted to table this item until the next meeting so that they could hear comments from Russ Baker, State's Attorney.

B. Preliminary Services Agreement to Replace Structure Carrying Tabler Road Over I&M Canal - Chamlin & Associates

1. Preliminary Services Agreement for Tabler Road Over I&M Canal

Eric Gibson noted that he is requesting approval for this Preliminary Services Agreement with Chamlin to go to full board. The amount is $125,500. He stated that the IL Special Bridge Program Grant was approved for this project with a cap of $995,000 for construction.

XV. Highway Old Business

A. Ridge Road Update

Eric Gibson gave a brief update on this project. He noted that the bridge plaque is in place and IDOT will soon be doing a walk through to give approval of the project.

B. Brisbin Road Update

Eric Gibson stated that the bridge for Brisbin Road is complete and is waiting on the guardrail and overlay. There were some issues that came up with the material used in the Road project and cement stabilization is going happen next week. The project should only have a few more weeks for completion.

C. DuPont Road Update

Per Eric Gibson, IDOT is currently doing testing on the water proof membrane. Once IDOT gives approval for this product and it is installed it should only be a couple more weeks to complete the bridge.

D. 2023 General Maintenance Update

Eric Gibson stated that Tar & Chip and HMA work has been completed. Crack fill is currently being done.

XVI. Budget Reporting

1. FY23 Budget Tracking

Per Mary Kucharz, there is nothing unusual in regards to the Budget for Animal Control, Transit, or Highway. She noted that revenues are up.
