State Rep. Jed Davis (R-Newark) will be hosting a "Christmas at Whitetail Annual Fundraiser" on Dec. 17. The event, which will be held at Whitetail Ridge in Yorkville, promises a lively evening filled with live entertainment, inspiring stories, and a delightful Christmas experience for attendees.
The lineup includes Pastor Corey Brooks, famously known as the Rooftop Pastor, who captured the nation's attention by spending 11 months living in tents on a rooftop. Organized to raise funds for unspecified causes, the event brings together key community figures to share their stories and entertain the crowd.

Pastor Brooks’ feat raised over $20 million for his Leadership & Economic Opportunity Center in Chicago. Heis also the founder of Project H.O.O.D. and serves as the lead pastor of New Beginnings Church in Chicago. Attendees can look forward to hearing his inspirational story during the event.
Country artist Tim Gleason, along with some surprise guests, will take the stage to provide a musical backdrop to the festive evening. With a reputation for delivering captivating performances, Gleason is sure to add a touch of country charm to the Christmas celebration.
The event’s schedule is as below:
5:30 p.m.: Social Hour with Live Entertainment
6:30 p.m.: Plated Meals, Desserts, and Performance by Tim Gleason with Surprise Guests
7:30 p.m.: Pastor Corey Brooks' Inspiring Address
Tickets for the event are $75 each. Tables can be sponsored for $200 and tables can be bought for $700 each.
Davis is a freshman legislator who came to power after defeating incumbent David Welter in the 2022 GOP primary.
Notably, Davis, a former board president of Parkview Christian Academy in Yorkville, had previously led a successful legal challenge against the state's mask mandate, highlighting a lack of support from Welter, according to a previous report from Grundy Reporter.
Davis is a member of the Illinois Freedom Caucus along with State Representatives Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich), Chris Miller (R-Oakland), Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville), Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City), Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur), and David Friess (R-Red Bud), according to its website.
