Dave DiVincenzo, Santa Claus is Coming to Morris, spoke regarding the fundraiser to support future !st Responders in Grundy County with scholarships, as well as events that have continued since 2018.

V. New Business 

1. Proposed Village of Minooka TIF

Jeff Lind, Community Development Officer for the Village of Minooka, spoke regarding the plan for and the impact of Grundy County by the proposed Village of Minooka TIF. The committee requested addition information prior to the Public Hearings and adoption of ordinances in February of 2024.

VI. Finance Director 

1. Finance Report-Discussion

Matt Melvin updated the committee on the budgets, County expansion, audits and ongoing projects.

2. ARP Update-Discussion

Melvin updated the committee on the list since the last presentation; $6 million left to spend.

3. FY23 Amended/FY24 Original Budget Updates-Discussion

The FY23 Amended budget resulted in a reduction to capital projects by $120k to balance General Fund.

One small update to the FY24 budget.

4. Tax Levy Update

Finance Director Melvin presented the 5 year forecast including the changes made to minimize levy costs while maintaining the minimum 6-month reserve recommended by the County's auditors.
