Verna Mae Ripsch, 97, Remembered for Kindness and Love

Verna Mae Ripsch, aged 97, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024. Born to Mano and Anna Harms on February 27, 1927, in Forrest, IL, Verna was known for her dedication to family and community. She married Earl Ripsch in 1946 and worked at a local florist in Morris while actively participating in First United Methodist Church.

Verna is survived by her son, Kirk, daughter-in-law Mindy, grandchildren Mark, Kyle, and Cale, and great-grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Cora, Jack, and Ava. She is remembered for her baking skills, love for family events, and cheerful spirit. Verna's legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband, son Stan, siblings, and in-laws, Verna's life was a testament to love, service, and joy. Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church of Morris.

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Morris, followed by a celebration of Verna's life at 12:00 p.m. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the service.
