State Senator Sue Rezin has expressed concern over the impending removal of Northwestern Medicine from Meridian Health Plan of Illinois' network. This change, set to take effect on January 1st, will affect residents in Kendall County and nearby areas.

Senator Rezin stated, "I am deeply disappointed to learn that Meridian Health and Northwestern Medicine have been unable to resolve their ongoing dispute, which will leave thousands of Illinois residents in limbo."

She urged both parties to resume negotiations promptly. "I strongly urge representatives from both organizations to return to the negotiating table and work toward a resolution that ensures continued access to essential medical services for the people they serve," she said.

Rezin emphasized her commitment to addressing this issue. "I will continue to monitor this situation closely and explore all possible avenues to protect the healthcare needs of those relying on Meridian Health and Northwestern Medicine," she added.
