Edward G. Zelinko Jr., aged 76, of Diamond, IL, passed away on December 16, 2024, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet, with his son by his side. Born on May 2, 1948, in Coal City alongside his twin brother, Jimmy, to Edward G. Sr. and Laurine Zelinko, Ed was a proud member of the Coal City community, having graduated from Coal City High School in 1967.

After working at Caterpillar for 32 years, Ed retired and enjoyed socializing at local establishments, with the Whistle Stop Café being a favorite spot. A significant accomplishment in Ed's life was achieving his black belt in Martial Arts later in life, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and perseverance.

Survived by his son, grandchildren, brother, sister-in-law, cousin, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, Ed's memory will be cherished by his loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Ed was a kind soul who left a lasting impact on those around him.
