 Eric Peterson, Simple Communications, spoke regarding the recent issues involving an upgrade done by the IT Department where most of the county offices were negatively effected. Peterson requested answers as to the widespread disruptions including the impact on the ROE department in which his company is contracted.

Kay Olson told the committee that the recent election went extremely smooth and reported on the statistics of early voting, vote by mail and comparisons from the 2020 election.

Deb Ritke reported on the BOR (262 complaints) and the tentative State multiplier is 1.

B. Technology Report 

Kyle Simpkins gave a thorough explanation and rundown of events regarding the network refresh that resulted in widespread issues throughout the county departments. They have been working through most of the problems with a few still outstanding. He stated that he recognized the importance of better communication during these incidents. He also updated the committee on future projects planned for IT staff.
