A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Grundy County Sheriff's Office on January 7, 2025, by us at the Grundy Reporter. We are a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
In the request, we sought records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, specifically looking for a list of all arrests made from January 1, 2024, till December 31, 2024. The requested data includes fields such as the arrestee's name, arrest date, gender, race, date of birth and the crime committed.
