State Senator Sue Rezin of Morris has announced her committee assignments for the 104th General Assembly, alongside her continued role as Deputy Minority Leader for the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus. The announcement follows the January 8th inauguration and marks the first week of legislative action.
Senator Rezin expressed her commitment to her leadership role, stating, “It is a privilege to continue serving as Deputy Minority Leader under Minority Leader John Curran. I remain committed to working with Leader Curran and my colleagues to advance policies that strengthen our communities, create economic opportunities, and promote a more responsible and effective government.”
In addition to her leadership duties, Senator Rezin will participate in several key Senate committees. She will serve on the Energy and Public Utilities Committee, the Executive Committee, and will be the Minority Spokesperson for the Human Rights Committee.
“These committees will allow me to focus on crucial areas directly impacting families and businesses across Illinois,” she said. “From ensuring a reliable energy future to advocating for strong consumer protections, I look forward to continuing to serve as a voice for my constituents and the people of our state.”
Senator Rezin has been part of the Illinois Senate since December 2010. She represents the 38th Senate District, which covers parts of Bureau, DeKalb, Grundy, LaSalle, Kendall, and Will counties.
