William N. "Norm" Lewis, Veteran and Beloved Family Man, Passes Away at 90

William "Norm" N. Lewis | UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home & Aqua Cremation Center

Morris - William N. "Norm" Lewis, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Morris, Illinois at the age of 90. Born on September 10, 1934, in Flat, Missouri, Norm was a proud United States Marines veteran and a dedicated mechanic throughout his career.

Norm found his true love in Millie Carter, and together they shared 69 years of love and family. Their home was a place of warmth, overflowing with love for their children, Joy Jones and Karla Jenkins. Norm's passions included gardening, fishing, hunting, and camping, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enriching their lives with his wisdom and love.

Survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and brother Doyle Lewis, Norm leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Harvey and Mary Ione Lewis, and his siblings.

Memorials in Norm's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Lightway's Hospice Home in Joliet.

A visitation for Norm will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, followed by a celebration of Norm’s life officiated by Pastor Kevin Yandell. Norm will be laid to rest at Sample Cemetery with Military Honors.
