Joseph R. Simon, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7th, 2025. Known for his love for his family, passion for the Green Bay Packers, and fondness for lottery tickets, he was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 18th, 1943.

Joe, a man of routine and few words, enjoyed road trips with his grandchildren, reading the newspaper, and watching sports. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Joe frequented Kaz's bar and appreciated music by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock. His love for the lottery remained strong throughout his life, embodying his belief that to win, one must play.

Preceded in death by parents, son, grandson, brothers, and sister, Joe is survived by siblings, daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughter. A proud Vietnam veteran and retired postal worker, Joe is now reunited with his beloved son and grandson in peace.

Cremation rites have been accorded with no services scheduled at this time. Family and friends can sign the online guestbook at www.ferrarifuneral.com. Ferrari Funeral Services of Coal City are overseeing the arrangements.
