Jane R. Hackett, aged 80, passed away on April 9, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 28, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jane was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Rothgeb. She graduated from Tuscola High School and attended the University of Illinois, where she met her husband, Denny Hackett.

Dedicated to her family, Jane was a loving wife to Denny for 59 years and a devoted mother to Melissa, Phil (Cassie), and Kady (Jim). She found great joy in being a mother and grandmother to Wesley, Evie, Rylan, Finn, and Addy. Jane was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Morris and engaged in various community and church activities.

Jane enjoyed a variety of interests, from playing tennis and bridge to knitting. She maintained strong connections with her college days, particularly with the TriDelta Sorority at the University of Illinois. Known for her love of sports, especially rooting for the Fighting Illini football team, Jane's enthusiasm and dedication were evident to all those around her.

A visitation for Jane will be held on April 23, 2025, followed by a celebration of her life at the First United Methodist Church in Morris. Memorials may be made to the Morris YMCA or United Methodist Endowment Fund in Jane's name. An online guestbook has been set up to share memories and condolences with the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, IL.
