Information and Discussion

Summer Library at GGS- I talked to Amie and we have not had successful Attendance during weekly summer library hours so she is going to plan a few special Open library days throughout the summer where she plans on having a craft, read aloud, Snack and time to check out books. Hopefully this will have better attendance

July meeting- Mike and Phil from Studio Investments will be here to report on the past year’s investments

GGS will have five 8th grade students attend algebra at the high school next year. BES and SWGS will each have two students

Triple I Conference booked. My hopes are that we stay at the Fairmont Chicago. I will know once we get closer to the date. (11/22-11/22) Pinstripes, 435 E Illinois St. Chicago, is where we will have dinner.

Sports Booster Meeting update and results from survey

Gardner Area Band recognized: The Gardner Area Band placed 1st place in the Class AAA Division, at the Music in the Parks Concert Band competition in Beach Park https://thepaper1901.com/2025/06/gardner-area-band-wins-big-at-music-in-the-parks-competition/

Committee Appointments: Looking at a Sports Committee – Ashley & Lauren, Building & Grounds Committee – Sam & Brad and Administrative Committee – Jake & Jerry

The 5 year compliance review from the ROE was concluded on 6/18/25. We received a status as rully recognized, District did a great job uploading policies, procedures, and documents. Student and Staff files were ready and organized.

Motion to adjourn into closed session to consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees 5ILCS 120/2C.1 and student disciplinary cases per 5ILCS 120/2C.9 @ 8:09 pm
