The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has completed the second phase of its move to a new online licensing platform, called CORE (Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment). With this update, 25 additional license types are now available for application through the system, bringing the total to 95. Previously, many licenses could only be obtained with paper applications, which sometimes caused processing delays.
State Senator Sue Rezin commented on the initiative, stating that the new platform is part of a wider plan to modernize state services and reduce bureaucracy. She encouraged first-time applicants to use CORE to make the process easier.
A complete list of licenses available through CORE can be found here.
Rezin was elected as a Republican in 2010 to represent Illinois' 38th Senate District after replacing Gary G. Dahl.
