Sue Rezin, a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate representing the 38th District since 2010, addressed several issues in recent posts on her social media account.

On September 10, 2025, Rezin commented on an incident at Utah Valley University. She stated, "What happened at Utah Valley University today is horrific. Political violence has no place in our nation. Charlie Kirk has spent years encouraging young people to get involved in political debate and civic life. My thoughts are with Charlie and everyone affected by this horrific".

The following day, September 11, 2025, she marked the anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a tribute: "Today we pause to reflect on the lives taken on 9/11 and to pay tribute to the extraordinary sacrifice of America’s first responders and all who stood united in the face of terror."

Later that same day, Rezin discussed concerns regarding safety at state correctional facilities. She wrote, "For months, I’ve been calling on IDOC to act after meeting with officers from the Sheridan Correctional Center and learning about the dangerous exposures happening in our state facilities.

The emergency rule to allow scanning of incoming mail is an important step to stop".

Sue Rezin was elected to represent Illinois' 38th Senate District in 2010 after succeeding Gary G. Dahl as state senator.
