Significant transportation funding is planned for Illinois’ 38th Senate District in 2026, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Multi-Year Program. The district will receive over $173 million for various projects aimed at improving road safety, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting local communities.

State Senator Sue Rezin commented on the announcement: “These investments are an important win for families, farmers, and businesses that depend on reliable and safe roads.”

The funding is part of a broader six-year plan set to deliver nearly $708 million in total projects throughout the district. A comprehensive list of these projects can be found through IDOT’s six-year Highway Improvement Program for the 38th District by clicking here.

Senator Rezin, a Republican who was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 2010 after succeeding Gary G. Dahl, represents the 38th Senate District.
