Sue Rezin, Illinois State Senator representing the 38th Senate District, addressed concerns about social media’s impact on young people and economic challenges facing Illinois in a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On March 25, 2026, Rezin highlighted a recent court decision and its implications for youth safety online. She wrote, ” A major court ruling this week is shining a spotlight on the dangers of social media for young people. For years, I’ve been working on my Safe Screens, Healthy Minds Initiative to address exactly these concerns.”
In another post published the same day, she emphasized the need for proactive measures in Illinois regarding digital safety. Rezin stated, “Illinois should lead on solutions that put families first and ensure safer digital environments for the next generation. Parents deserve transparency. Kids deserve protection.”
Two days later, on March 27, 2026, Rezin shifted focus to economic issues in the state. She wrote, “Illinois is losing businesses and falling behind other states. I’m supporting legislation to reward businesses that stay, provide relief to workers, and lower costs for small employers. We need to make Illinois a place people want to stay, not leave.”
Rezin has served as a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate since 2010 after succeeding Gary G. Dahl as representative of the state’s 38th Senate District.
