Report: Saratoga spent $7,363 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Saratoga Community Consolidated School District 60C is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a Grundy Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Grundy County school district spent $7,266 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,363 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 800 to 806.

Saratoga's spending in 2016-17 was 43 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
