Mazon-Verona-Kinsman Elementary School District 2C issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
This was an exciting week at both the elementary and middle school thanks to the Mazon Fire Department, Verona-Kinsman Fire Department, and MVK Ambulance. The departments provided fire safety lessons to all students in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. Students in early childhood through first grade toured a fire truck and ambulance. Second through fourth grade students had a question and answer session with local Fireman and Paramedics. Fifth through eighth grade students learned how to use a fire extinguisher. Thank you to all departments for coming together and educating our students!
