Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
In Physical Science the students are investigating aeronautics. In Biology the students had to build proteins from food.
They have to research if the surface area of a paper airplane affect its range or if the weight of a paper airplane affect its range. They are really enjoying making the airplanes!
In Biology the students had to build proteins from food. They had to glue down all of the amino acids, keep track of how many glucose molecules they had, and what foods they “ate.” Students were surprised at how much food they had to consume to get all of the amino acids and glucose molecules they needed.
