Illinois Education Association Minooka Region issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.
"In addition to the salary freezes and staff reductions the board agreed on last week, it approved cutting $789,000 worth of athletic programs, reductions totaling $405,300 to other extra-curricular activities and saving $337,300 in transportation costs by eliminating some bus routes and charging students to ride the bus."
