Village of Coal City issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.
The contractor has begun roadway excavation and placement of stone subgrade the west side starting at Division Street and working south. Sidewalk on the west side of Broadway will be removed at this time. Curb and sidewalk installation is scheduled to begin after the excavation.
