Vote2

Established political party candidates in Grundy County with intentions to be seen on the upcoming General Primary ballot on March 17, 2020, can obtain petition packets at the County Clerk’s Office starting at 8 a.m. Sept. 3.

Grundy County City Clerk Kay Olson made the announcement on Wednesday, as well as explaining the numerous alternative ways packets can be filed or collected.

Packets can also be downloaded off of the official County Clerk’s website or by submitting a request via email to the Clerk’s office.

Petitions can still be filed upon the candidate or their representative visiting or mailing the Clerk’s office from Nov. 25 through Dec 2, 2019. If mailed, they must be returned by Dec. 2.

The County Clerk’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will close at 5 p.m. on Dec 2.

The General Primary ballot will feature candidates running for Circuit Clerk, Coroner, Senate’s Attorney and County Board Members for Districts 1 through 3. Precinct Committee members will be elected during the General Primary Election.

Independent and new party candidates can pick up petition packets following the March Primary.
