V. Animal Control Monthly Report

1. Committee Report

A question was asked about livestock that is picked up by Animal Control. Sue Gale explained that the livestock is turned over to the Dept. of Agriculture.

Sue Gale was asked about transfer in numbers. Sue explained that animal control generally does not accept transfers. Animal Control will transfer out or give to rescues.

Sue informed the committee that Animal control won 2 animal chip scanners valued at $299 each at a conference they attended.

Sue informed the committee that concrete work will be taking place Monday at Animal Control.

Sue informed the committee that they are working with the State's Attorney's office regarding Animal Control citations not meeting federal format.

Eric Gibson informed the committee that a HMA Bid Letting was held June 18, 2019 at 11:00am for Braceville Township, Erienna Township, Goose Lake Township, and Vienna Township. There were 2 bidders PT Ferro $1,186,709.08 and D Construction $954,231.98. Eric requested recommendation to recommend the project to the low bidder D Construction.

14. Oil & Chip Bids

XVII. Old Business Highway

Eric Gibson informed the committee that the highway department will need to issue a letter intent to purchase a new snow plow tandem truck. The truck was shown on approved capital improvement plan and also in the approved budget. The purchase will be through the state bid. The cost of the truck is $239,685.00

1. Ridge Road Update

Eric informed the committee that the project is on track for September 20th Letting. All ROW will be certified 7/23/2019.

Utility and pre work will take place this year. Bulk of the work 2020.

2. Pine Bluff Curve Flattening Update

Eric informed the committee that Pine Bluff Road is still awaiting environmental survey.

3. Grand Ridge Road Bridge Update

Eric Gibson informed the committee that Grand Ridge Road has been delayed due to rain and high water events. As soon as weather allows work will continue.

4. Braceville Road Bridge Update

Eric Gibson informed the committee that Braceville Road Bridge will be open following striping.

This should be tomorrow.

5. Review and Recommend Construction and Maintenance Agreement with WCL Railroad

1. Construction and Maintenance

Eric Gibson informed the committee that WCL has provided an updated agreement with all necessary exhibits. This agreement has been reviewed by State's Attorney's office. The highway department has request an combined cost estimate to be used in the agreement.
