Grundy County TB Board met Nov. 20.

The TB meeting was called to order at 6:15pm with the agenda to the flag. Also attending were: Michelle Pruim, Health Department Administrator; Dian Brown, Director of Office Management; Katie Harrison, Director of Nursing. This meeting is being recorded.

The TB minutes of April 17, 2019 were approved as presented.

Currently there is one (1) latent case in Grundy County taking the four (4) month treatment.

VI. Financials

1. TB Financial Report

As of the end of September, the balance in the TB Fund is 44,423. Expenses mainly paid out of the fund were for pharmaceuticals, lab and x-ray expenses.

2. County TB Levy

With the county TB tax decrease in the county, the health department will now receive more subsidy from the county to cover the decrease. (Approximately 12,000.) The balance to remain in the health department TB fund should remain around 30,000. to 40,000.

3. Morris Hospital Agreement

The Morris Hospital and the health department have had an agreement since 1999. The agreement states the hospital will complete TB services needed such as xrays, lab services etc and bill the health department which would then be taken from the TB fund. This agreement is in the process of being updated since it was originated in 1999. The updated agreement will be brought before the board for approval.
