Morris School District 54 Board Board of Education met Dec. 16.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Mrs. Bogard, Ms. Hiller, Mr. Hitchcock, Mr. Sikora, Mr. Stevens
MEMBERS ABSENT: Mrs. Cap, Mr. White
I. Call to Order
Vice-President, Pat Stevens called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.
II. Roll Call
Roll call was answered as indicated above, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Others present were: Dr. Dudek, Mr. Raffel, Mrs. Mills, and Mrs. Beeler.
III. Truth in Taxation Hearing - Mrs. Mills spoke regarding the reasoning for the hearing; the district EAV increased more than the 5% threshold which requires us to hold a hearing to notify the public of this increase. The school district is not changing the tax rate, they will continue to maintain the same rate as years past. If some one sees an increase it is due to the value of their home/property increasing, not the school district.
IV. Adjourn
Motioned by Hitchcock, seconded by Bogard to adjourn the Truth in Taxation Hearing at 6:12 p.m.
