Greater Channahon Minooka Area Chamber Of Commerce Inc issued the following announcement on Feb. 10.
The Morris Fire Protection District in conjunction with the Red Cross and local volunteers are sponsoring a Home Fire Campaign. The Red Cross is providing and installing new 10-year battery life smoke detector at no cost to you. A sanctioned Red Cross Volunteer will visit your residence. They will properly install, provide training to properly test the new smoke detector and educate occupants on fire safety including a “Fire Escape Plan”.
Please contact the Morris Fire Protection District Monday – Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm at (815) 942-2830 to schedule a new smoke detector installation.
