Illinois State Senate Committee on the Budget met January 29.
Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
Present: Chair Michael LeRoy, Yulanda Curtis, Paul Ellinger (ex officio), Jalen Frazier, Marius Junge, Peter Silhan
Absent: Kristi McDuffie, Daniel Park, Victoria Stodden
A regular meeting of the Senate Committee on the Budget was called to order at 11:00 am with Chair LeRoy presiding.
I. INTRODUCTIONS
No introductions were made.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the December 11, 2019 meeting were approved as distributed.
III. PUBLIC COMMENT
No requests received.
IV. CHAIR’S REMARKS
No remarks.
V. PROVOST OFFICE UPDATES
Ellinger shared the following with the committee:
• Review of the Investment for Growth submissions was yesterday. Ellinger will see if he can share that information with the committee.
• Council of Deans will be meeting next week.
• Robert Kessler has agreed to meet with the committee in February to discuss the budget survey.
• Annual reports from the Colleges are due next week. The College has to do a three (3) year forecast.
VI. OLD BUSINESS
BG.19.01, Senate Committee on the Budget Survey
The committee will prepare questions to forward to Robert Kessler for the February meeting.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
No new business.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT
