Grundy County Elections/Tax/Tech Committee met May 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Pursuant to Governor Executive Order 2020-10 ordering Stay at Home and prohibiting the public gathering of more than ten people; and, in accordance with Governor Executive Order 2020-7, Section 6, this meeting will be conducted by teleconference only.

The public may enter comment for the Public Comment portion of the meeting by emailing publiccomment@grundyco.org by 2 hours prior to the start of any meeting. Kay Olson told the committee that the Republican party won the Party Placement Lottery therefore will be top position on the November ballot. Also discussed for the November election was potential increase in vote by mail ballots, increase in election judge pay and more centralized polling places.

Paul Webb discussed his report including work from home assistance, server replacements, KnowB4 training and jail video conferencing.

Dave Ostrander updated the committee on the ETSB-911 migration project and stated that COVID-19 has not affected his fund revenues from recordings.

George Gray told the committee that most budget expenditures are on track.

A. Project Heartland Incentive

Nancy Norton, GEDC, updated the committee on a new potential project site that is being considered for Grundy and Will counties. Norton stated that if Grundy County makes the short list, she will bring back to the committee for further discussion.
