Grundy County Law & Justice/Legislative/EMA/Facilities/Coroner Committee met June 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Pursuant to Governor Executive Order 2020-10 ordering Stay at Home and prohibiting the public gathering of more than ten people; and, in accordance with Governor Executive Order 2020-7, Section 6, this meeting will be conducted by teleconference only.

Schroeder stated that his budget is basically flat except for the 2% salary increases.

Corri Trotter told the committee that due to the Local Debt Recovery Program, $23,000.00 has been collected. This program utilizes the resources of the IL Office of the Comptroller to collect unpaid debt.

Trotter reported that there was very little change to her budget.

Jason Helland told the committee that he is working with Matt Melvin to look at utilizing Fee Funds vs General Fund.

Gary Dobbs stated that his budget is flat except for 2% salary increases.

Arnold reported very little change in his budget except for the 2% salary increases and a request for an additional $1.00 per hour for him due to having the Pesticides Applicators License.

Ken Briley discussed the needs of his department to continue public safety and updated on the peaceful protest in Chapin Park.

The total for all departments reflects an increase in expenses by 1.41%.
