Grundy County Education/Personnel/VAC Committee met July 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Pursuant to Governor Executive Order 2020-10 ordering Stay at Home and prohibiting the public gathering of more than ten people; and, in accordance with Governor Executive Order 2020-7, Section 6, this meeting will be conducted by teleconference only.

The public may enter comment for the Public Comment portion of the meeting by emailing publiccomment@grundyco.org by 2 hours prior to the start of any meeting. Chris Mehochko told the committee that they continue to have remote meetings to make contingent plans to reopen schools however decisions will be largely driven by the IDPH and Governor.

The FY21 budget reflected no changes except for the salaries, partially due to bringing on the replacement for a retiring employee prior to the retirement date.

Ken Buck reported that his office has been quiet and all transportation is still shut down.

Ken Buck told the committee that only increases were salary and auto maintenance.

Mary Kucharz updated the committee on the employee health screening and finding a replacement for the current vendor. Open enrollment was done remotely and is completed.

C. FY 2021 Budget

Kucharz told the committee that she decreased several line items due to no use and increased the HR Asst. to the top of the pay scale due to additional job requirements.

George Gray stated that there may be an increase in the HR Director salary line due to no raise since contracted; he will negotiate with GovTemp Agency. Both to be reviewed by the FInance Analyst and committee.

George Gray reported that at 62% through FY20 all budget lines are at or below the mark.
