Village of Minooka Village Board met July 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Patrick Brennan, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees present: Terry Houchens, Dennis Martin, Dick Parrish, Barry Thompson and Ric Offerman. Also present: Dan Duffy-Village Administrator, Ryan Anderson – Public Works Superintendent, Chris Spesia-Village Attorney and Justin MeyerPolice Chief.

Changes to Agenda – There were no changes to the agenda at this time. Review of the Minutes- Minutes of the Village Board Meeting of June 23, 2020 were reviewed. Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to accept the minutes of the June 23, 2020 Village Board Meeting as presented.

Bills and Transfers- Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Houchens seconded the motion to approve the Bills and Transfers as presented.

Public Forum

President Brennan opened the Public Forum at 6:33 p.m. Chief Meyer wanted to give recognition to CPAA Members. He mentioned those who participated helped out in many cases. Through the years and life obligations, there has been a lack of interest therefore, it will no longer continue. He wanted to recognize those who were involved and presented them with a recognition plaque. No one else spoke. President Brennan closed the Public Forum at 6:36 p.m.

Trustee Martin moved, Trustee Thompson seconded the motion approving Ordinance 2020-21 Amending Title 7, Chapter 2, Section 5, Collection of Garbage Changes in the Village of Minooka.

Staff Reports- President Brennan stated there was nothing to report.

Annexation Committee Report- August 11, 2020 is the next meeting at 5:00 p.m. Executive Session- President Brennan stated there was no need for an Executive Session.

Action from Executive Session-none

As Appropriate- Trustee Thompson wanted to give his support to Chief Meyer and his department and wanted to extend his thank you for all that they do and are going through.

The COVID Utility Fund Grant has been granted in full to those who applied. President Brennan wanted to thank the Village Clerk for being a great help.

Trustee Thompson moved; all voted aye for meeting to adjourn.
