Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
Through a variety of activities, we learned about the importance of accepting everyone’s differences along with the ability to come together to contribute to the “big picture”. For our culminating project, each student was given a piece of paper with a design on it. They were to color that design any way they chose. When everyone was finished, we put the design together to produce the “big picture”. This activity highlighted that, even though we all have differences, we can work together to produce an incredible finished product.
