Coal City Community Unit School District 1 issued the following announcement on Mar. 2.
Look out Coal City, Mr. Monbrum’s Drivers Education students recently earned their driving permits!
Congratulations to all twenty-two students who are now ready to embrace their time driving behind the wheel. CCHS students must drive fifty hours with their parents or guardians and another six hours with a driving instructor.
The students in the classroom portion of Drivers Education have been talking about the three different ways of parking a vehicle; angle, parallel, and perpendicular. On the legal side of things, Officer Imhof recently paid a visit to discuss the dangers of drinking and driving.
I am very fortunate to get the opportunity to teach students both in the classroom and behind the wheel here at Coal City High School. Please be patient when you see the student-driver vehicles on the road and leave a little extra space for us!
