Village of Diamond issued the following announcement on Aug. 11
The Grundy County Emergency Management Agency app includes many benefits such as keeping the public prepared for any emergency situations, providing help through crisis easily and quickly, and keeping the community safe before, during, and after an event.
Some of the custom app features include tips on being prepared, Social Media Integration, and the ability to notify the EMA of damage reports to name a few. With the Grundy County Emergency Management Agency App you should be better prepared for an emergency in Grundy County.
This APP is intended to provide alerts and information only for the County represented within the app.
Messages delivered to your device with this app are intended to be a best effort communication and represent just one component of the emergency communications in your area that you should be utilizing.
Available in your app store at Google Play or Apple App Store
The EMA also recommends to have a weather radio, or monitor tv local weather for second to second information during severe weather.
FYI: The All Hazard sirens sound in the event of a tornado for 3 minutes until which time they time out. There is no all clear alert.
