Village of Minooka Village Board met Aug. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Ric Offerman, called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Trustees present: Terry Houchens, Dick Parrish, Barry Thompson, Dennis Martin, Robin White and Gabriela Martinez. 

Also present: Dan Duffy-Village Administrator, Sean Kelly-Village Engineer, Police Chief-Justin Meyer, Village Treasurer-John Harrington, Village Attorney- Chris Spesia and Public Works Superintendent-Ryan Anderson.

Resolution authorizing a draw on Busey Bank Letter of Credit No. 1027814 for Motive Powers Resources Inc

Trustee Martin moved; Trustee Parrish seconded the motion approving Resolution 2021R-3217 authorizing a draw on Busey Bank Letter of Credit No. 1027814

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White, Martin

Nays: Thompson

Absent: None

Motion carried.

Approval of Professional Services Proposal from Upland Design for LWCF Grant Preparation (extension of Veterans Park)

Trustee Houchens moved; Trustee White seconded the motion approving professional services proposal from Upland Design for LWCF Grant Preparation.

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White, Thompson, Martin

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried.

LWCF Grant program resolution of authorization

Trustee Houchens moved; Trustee Martin seconded the motion approving LCWF Grant Program Resolution of Authorization

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White, Thompson, Martin

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried.

Ordinance Authorizing Lease/Purchase Agreement with the Conservation Foundation (204 Mondamin Street)

Trustee Houchens moved, Trustee White seconded the motion approving Ordinance 2021-15 Authorizing Lease/Purchase Agreement with the Conservation Foundation

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White, Thompson, Martin

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried.

St. Mary’s Octoberfest Request 

Trustee Parrish moved; Trustee Martinez seconded the motion approving St. Marys Octoberfest Request

Ayes: Houchens, Martinez, Parrish, White, Thompson, Martin

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion carried.

Trustee Thompson moved to adjourn; Trustee Parrish seconded the motion to adjourn. All voted aye for meeting to adjourn.
