BG.19.01, Senate Committee on the Budget Survey
Discussion was had on when the committee would like to send the survey out this year. Discussion was also had if additional questions should be added to the survey to include impact from COVID-19.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
Topics of Discussion
Dean Wilkin spoke with the committee regarding central campus Library resources that are available to all departments on campus as it relates acquisitions. Wilkin shared that there is a single “discovery” system that is used statewide called CARLI (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois). Using this system will allow users to determine what resources are available through the central campus Library, as well as other libraries.
Wilkin shared nearly all of the libraries on campus are part of the University Library and complete their acquisitions through a single department to avoid duplications. The exceptions are the Law Library, the Illinois Fire Institute Library, and the Residential Halls Library.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 am.
