Rezin honors interns: 'I continue to be blown away by the talent and dedication of our students'

Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Morris) recently took to Facebook to express her gratitude to interns after attending the Grundy County Summer Internship Recognition Dinner.

“I attended the Annual Grundy County Summer Internship Recognition Dinner,” Rezin wrote on Facebook. “I continue to be blown away by the talent and dedication of our students here in Grundy County. Thank you to all who helped make this year a success!”

In recent weeks, Rezin announced that she is looking for interns to work in her 38th District offices in Morris and Peru.

The Grundy County Economic Development announced the summer internship program in February. It was open to juniors and seniors attending the following area schools: Coal City, Gardner-South Wilmington, Minooka, Morris High School or GAVC. There were 29 internships in this year's program.

In 2021, the program's ninth year, there were a wide range of companies participating. Those included: Lyondell Basell, Village of Minooka, United States Cold Storage, Inc., Mack & Associates, P.C., SPACECO, Inc., Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers, Busey Bank, Joliet Junior College, Village of Channahon, D'Arcy Motors, Grundy Area Vocational Center, Rezin, Aux Sable, and Letty Mae's Tea Room.
