CALL TO ORDER

A special meeting of the Grundy County Emergency Telephone System Board was called to order at 1:46 p.m.

ROLL CALL

Present: Justin Meyer (Electronic); Alicia Steffes; James Olson; Dick Joyce; Dale Watson; Nate Basham; George Lamboley; Jeff Wilson; Ken Briley; Kevin Bogard; Russ Baker; Julie Peterson; Jackie Sparrow, Jim Seerup.

Vice Chairman Dick Joyce ran the meeting as Chairman Meyer was sick and attending electronically.

There was no public comment/participation.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion: A motion to go into executive session at 1:47 pm. pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body was made by Dale Watson. Motion seconded by James Olson. On roll call vote, said motion prevailed.

Ayes : 6

Nays: 0

Abstain: 1 (Joyce)

Absent: 2 (Meyer, Wilson)

Present in executive session were:

James Olson; Dick Joyce; Dale Watson; Alicia Steffes; Nate Basham; George Lamboley; Ken Briley; Kevin Bogard; Jim Seerup; Julie Peterson.

Russ Baker joined the meeting at 1:55 pm.

Motion: A motion to return to regular session was made by Alicia Steffes at 1:58 pm. Motion seconded by George Lamboley. On roll call vote, said motion prevailed.

Abstain: 1 (Joyce)

Absent: 1 (Wilson)

OPEN SESSION

Jeff Wilson joined the meeting at 2:00 pm.

Third interviews for the 911 Center Director position were conducted on the following candidates:

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion: A motion to go into executive session at 3:07 pm. pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1) to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body was made by Alicia Steffes. Motion seconded by Dale Watson. On roll call vote, said motion prevailed.

OPEN SESSION

Motion: A motion to extend an offer of employment as the 911 Center Director to Jen Stein was made by Justin Meyer. Motion seconded by Ken Briley. On roll call vote, said motion prevailed.

Ayes : 5 (Meyer, Olson, Watson, Briley, Joyce)

Nays: 4 (Steffes, Basham, Lamboley, Wilson)

Abstain: 0

Absent: 0

Discussion was held regarding a one-time employee appreciation incentive for the dispatchers. Kevin Bogard asked the board to consider the incentive to let the dispatchers know that they appreciate the work they have been doing.

Motion: A motion to approve a one-time appreciation incentive of $1500 for dispatchers who have been employed full-time for over a year and $750 for dispatchers that have been employed for less than a year and have completed training was made by Justin Meyer. Motion seconded by Ken Briley. On roll call vote, said motion prevailed.

Absent: 0

Motion: A motion to adjourn was made at 4:04 pm by Ken Briley. Motion seconded by George Lamboley. On roll call, said motion prevailed.
