The City Council of the City of Vienna met in regular session, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Vienna City Hall with the following members and guests:

There being a quorum, Mayor Penrod called the meeting of the Vienna City Council to order at 6:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS
Alderman Pitts made a motion to Authorize and Approve the Omnibus Consent Agenda consisting of the August 21, 2024 meeting minutes and the Warrant ($ 33,612.65). Alderman Hill seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Jennifer Jacobsen was present to request needs from the city for the upcoming Junque Jamboree scheduled for Saturday, September 21st. Jacobsen said the date for the spring event would be April 26th
Alderman Hill made a motion to Authorize and Approve Ordinance 24-03, An Ordinance Authorizing the use of Streets and Alleys for Water and Sewer Line Easements. Alderman Pitts seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Alderman Tuey mace a motion to Authorize and Approve Ordinance 24-04, An Ordinance Amending Title IX, General Regulations, Chapter 95, Parks and Recreation of the Vienna City
Code to Prohibit Tobacco/Nicotine Use and Vaping in Designated Areas of the City of Vienna, Illinois Public Parks and to Provide Penalties Therefore. Alderman Elliot seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Alderman Moore made a motion to amend the June 5th Agenda Item #8, to increase the approved amount up to $40,000.00 (TIF Funds) to C&C Pumps and Supply for water pump rebuild project. Alderman Racey seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.

ELECTED/APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Wright updated the council on the residential demolition grant. Southern Five would prepare a construction agreement to the awarded contractor followed by a notice to proceed. Wright also mentioned the current trash contract with Bulldog and the option of an early extension.
Alderman Moore discussed Fall Fest parade details for October 5th.
Mayor Penrod said he and Supt Hartline met with the county's construction manager, Pete Wooley, earlier in the week to discuss the new county complex, including hand railings on Vine Street that have not yet been installed and draining issues.
As there was no further business to discuss, Alderman Pitts made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Alderman Elliott. Mayor Penrod declared the meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
