Bettie L. Greenway, a devoted mother, grandmother, nurse, and community member, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, at the age of 86 in Morris. Born on November 20, 1937, in Covington, VA, Bettie's life was characterized by kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

After her education in nursing, Bettie pursued a career in pediatric nursing, where she cared for young patients at hospitals in Maryland and Chicago. Her love story with her husband, Chuck Greenway, led to a lifelong journey filled with mutual respect and shared endeavors like establishing Greenway Pontiac Olds in 1967.

Known for her zest for life, Bettie enjoyed boating and traveling with Chuck, making each trip memorable. Her faith played a significant role in her life, as she actively participated in Methodist churches in Lockport and Morris. Predeceased by her husband, parents, and brother-in-law, Bettie is remembered for the love, care, and warmth she shared with all. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to We Care of Grundy County or United Methodist Church of Morris.
