COAL CITY - Barbara K. Cooley, aged 75, of Coal City, IL, passed away on December 7, 2024, at Morris Hospital. Born in Chicago to Bob and Martha Crain, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Barbara married Alan V. Cooley Sr. on September 24, 1972, and together they raised three sons: Alan Jr., David, and Scott. Her dedication to her family and her role as a nurturing matriarch left an indelible mark on those she loved. Barbara's warmth and love were the cornerstone of her family life, and her memory will be cherished by her husband, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and loved ones.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Martha Crain, Barbara's legacy of love and devotion will be carried forward by those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. In honor of her memory, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held.
