As Valentine's Day approaches, State Senator Sue Rezin is launching her "Valentines for Seniors" card drive. This initiative aims to uplift the spirits of residents in long-term care and assisted-living facilities.

Senator Rezin is calling on churches, schools, and community members within the 38th Senate District to participate by writing Valentine's Day cards. These cards can be dropped off or mailed to one of her district offices. Once collected, they will be delivered to various long-term care facilities across the district.

The cards will contain messages of kindness and respect, bringing joy to elderly residents. Senator Rezin believes this effort will also help strengthen intergenerational bonds as younger community members express appreciation for those who have paved the way.

Cards can be submitted until February 7th at Senator Rezin's district offices located at 1802 N. Division St., Ste 314, Morris, IL 60450; 350 5th St., Ste 264, Peru, IL 61354; and 850 4th St., DeKalb, IL 60115. Additionally, cards can be dropped off at the Yorkville Public Library at 902 Game Farm Rd., Yorkville, IL 60560.
