Jean, a beloved mother and homemaker, dedicated her life to raising her children Richard, Judith, Michael, Sharon, and the late David Southcombe. She was a nurturing figure to her grandchildren and a guiding presence in their lives. Jean's legacy lives on through her 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to caring for her family, Jean found joy in volunteering at local schools and libraries. She will be remembered for her loving nature and the warm atmosphere of her home, filled with laughter and baked goods for her family to enjoy.
Jean is survived by her brother, Roger McCormick, her children, grandchildren, and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, son David, and brother Donald McCormick.
Memorials in Jean's honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. A visitation for Jean will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, followed by a celebration of her life. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.
