William Leigh “Bill” Schultz, 78, Known Fondly as Harv, Remembered for Colorful Storytelling and Love for Grandsons

Morris, IL - William Leigh “Bill” Schultz, 78, affectionately known as Harv, passed away on January 31, 2025, at his Morris home, as he had wished. He was born on December 17, 1946, in Herscher to Leighton and Elsie Schultz. Harv is survived by his wife, Rita, and daughters Jennifer Schultz and Jill (Jeff) Lee.

After serving in the Army National Guard, Harv dedicated 30 years to AT&T. He was inducted into the DTHS Hall of Fame for his participation in the 1962 football team. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, and farming for Berg Farms.

Harv cherished his grandsons, Bryce and Baylen Lee, and was a devoted supporter at their sporting events. He is survived by his immediate family, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friend Keith Jaeschke.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, from 3 to 6 p.m. at U.C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, followed by a funeral service. Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Fisher House veteran’s organization. An online guestbook is available on the funeral home's website for sharing memories and condolences.
