Village of Minooka Village Board met June 24.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Village President, Ric Offerman, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Trustees present: Robin White, Ray Mason, Dennis Martin, Barry Thompson, Gabriela Martinez and Joshawa Stell. Also present: Dan Duffy- Village Administrator Ryan Anderson-Superintendent of Public Works, Chief Justin Meyer, Village Engineer-Susan Quasney, Village Attorney Chris Spesia and Village ClerkOrsola Filus

Public Forum‐ Motorcycle Safety Proclamation- Village President read the Proclamation.

Review of the Village Board meeting minutes from May 27, 2025

Trustee White moved, Trustee Stell seconded the motion to approve the minutes as presented

Developer Aladdin was present to discuss this item. There was no new LOC received. Aladdin is hoping to have it sent to Village staff in time for the July 29 Board meeting.

Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Mason seconded the motion to approve Resolution 2025R-3901 opposing the Brightstar Renewable Solar Farm Project

Liquor Commission Report

Ordinance increasing Class C Liquor Licenses from 1 to 2 (New Business at 2081 Ridge Rd) Trustee White moved, Trustee seconded the motion to approve Ordinance 2025-16 increasing Class C Liquor Licenses from 1 to 2.

Annexation Committee Report-none

Executive Session‐ President Offerman said there was a need for an executive session. Trustee Thompson moved, Trustee Stell seconded the motion to go into executive session at 7:01 p.m. All in favor.

Go back into regular session‐Trustee White moved, Trustee Thompson seconded the motion to go back into regular session at 7:16 p.m. All in favor.

Action from Executive-none

As Appropriate‐ Administrator Duffy mentioned there was a Joint Review Board meeting today. No changes to dollar amounts were made. There is a ribbon cutting next week for the Memory Center. On July 1, we will have a Ribbon Cutting at Aux Sable Spring Park with former Trustee Houchens. Trustee Stell wanted to thank the Mayor on having the Motorcycle Proclamation on the agenda as it is very important to him.
